Dharmachakra Instructions

1. Fold a piece of paper in half. (Show here is a 8" by 11" piece of paper - you can use this size or smaller or a square sheet.)

2. And in half again so that the paper in now folded into quarters

Fold Diagonally3. Fold in half diagonally. Fold Diagonally again4. Fold in half diagonally again.

Cut excess5. Cut excess off side opposite point. This step is not absolutely necessary, but help when making the final cuts.

illustrated cutsNext several steps will be cutting the figure as such. The folded side is on the left side of this illustration. The cuts are made from the open side.

Cut point6. Cut off point

Diagonal cut7. Cut from the open side. Cut diagonally into paper approximately 1/4 of the length of the paper from where point was cut off. This cut should run parallel to the folded edge. Approximately 1/2 the length (2-2-1/2 inches if you used an 8" square or 8"X11")
Cut in8.Make a straight or slightly rounded cut from folded edge to previous cut. This basically cuts a triangle out. Cut parallel9. Make another cut parallel to the last cut and about as long. You might want to make this cut slightly rounded.
Cut knob10. Cut a half round shape at the edge meeting the cut in the previous step Cut figure11. You should have a shape that looks like the picture on the left. Now unfold the paper. After you get the basic idea, You can make fancier cuts to give the resulting figure different looks.
