1. Fold a piece of paper in half. (Show here is a 8" by 11"
piece of paper - you can use this size or smaller or a square sheet.)
2. And in half again so that the paper in now folded into quarters
3.
Fold in half diagonally.
4.
Fold in half diagonally again.
5.
Cut excess off side opposite point. This step is not absolutely necessary,
but help when making the final cuts.
Next
several steps will be cutting the figure as such. The folded side is on
the left side of this illustration. The cuts are made from the open side.
6.
Cut off point
7.
Cut from the open side. Cut diagonally into paper approximately 1/4 of the
length of the paper from where point was cut off. This cut should run parallel
to the folded edge. Approximately 1/2 the length (2-2-1/2 inches if you
used an 8" square or 8"X11")
8.Make
a straight or slightly rounded cut from folded edge to previous cut. This
basically cuts a triangle out.
9.
Make another cut parallel to the last cut and about as long. You might want
to make this cut slightly rounded.
10.
Cut a half round shape at the edge meeting the cut in the previous step
11.
You should have a shape that looks like the picture on the left. Now unfold
the paper. After you get the basic idea, You can make fancier cuts to give
the resulting figure different looks.
